Raqiya Mohamed, MS
Therapist
Raqiya Mohamed is an aspiring psychotherapist driven by a deep commitment to supporting individuals as they navigate life’s challenges. She believes in the transformative power of therapeutic conversation and strives to create a safe, affirming, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel truly heard.
Raqiya earned her Master’s degree in Counseling from the University of Wisconsin–River Falls, where she built a strong foundation in both counseling skills and culturally responsive care. She currently works as a school counselor, bringing over 10 years of experience in supporting students and families in achieving success. This work has strengthened her ability to connect with people across a range of life experiences and developmental stages.
Her therapeutic approach is rooted in empathy, understanding, and a belief in each person’s innate resilience. She is actively expanding her practice through the use of evidence-based modalities, including Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Narrative Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). These approaches allow her to tailor support to the unique needs and goals of each client.
Raqiya is excited about her continued journey in the field of psychotherapy and looks forward to walking alongside clients as they work toward greater fulfillment, healing, and self-discovery.
